Ootybookings is an online gateway of Ooty Eco and Wild Tours – a venture started by few passionate indigenous people who intend to share their experiences of exploring “the Nilgiri Hills”, renowned as Ooty with the travellers. Being native to this astoundingly beautiful and peaceful place, we were compelled to build an online platform that would simply invite you to experience this dreamland in a carefree yet informative manner.
Why Ooty?
Ooty is called as The Queen of Hills! It is one of the most beautiful places on earth with beautiful views and amazing delicious plantation. It is one of the most popular hill station in India. John Sullivan, a British Collector described this beautiful place as Another Switzerland in South India when he discovered the place. Ooty is short name for Ootacamund which came from ‘Othai kal mandhu’ – the name from the Toda tribal language. Its been a vacation place for British during their ruling period.

Country Ride
Activities
Country ride activity is a must do in Ooty. It includes a round trip via beautiful and scenic Nilgiri villages and tea estates in 4*4 jeep or van depending on the number of people. The ride also includes lunch at a local hotel surrounded by scenic beauty to make you taste the authentic food of Ooty. The tea and snacks served hereafter, give travellers a unique experience in itself. The ride is guided by audio travel app.
Trekking
Activities
One of the amazing activities that you can enjoy in the Nilgiris is Trekking. Beautiful grasslands, fresh and cool air, stunning viewpoints, pure water streams, dense forest make the trekking experience a pleasant and memorable one. The daily 4 to 6 hours trek include a visit to a tribal village and lunch that makes you want to repeat the activity often. Missing out on this activity means missing the purpose of visiting Ooty!

As we at Ootybookings provide you with the best Tent Stays experience ever. Our plans can accommodate upto 30 people who are served with lunch, breakfast and dinner by our hospitable staff. The activities include bonfire and small trek to the nearby scenic spots.
