Dolphin’s Nose

Catherine Falls

Located on the Mettupalayam road is a double cascaded waterfall in Kothagiri, Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu. It serves as a major tourist spot in Kothagiri as the waterfall is the second highest in the Nilgiri hills with the height of water falls about 250 ft. The waterfall is named after the spouse of M.D.Cockburn. The coffee plantation in Kothagiri was believed to have been introduced by his wife only. Longwood Shola

Longwood Shola is an isolated tropical evergreen forest located 3 Kms from Kothagiri town. It is one of the most amusing wooden dense forests in Kothagiri.
